i dont want to run super stiff shocks. i want a ride that is moderately stiff but not too stiff but not too sofft at the same time. I have 5" 450lb springs in the rear. would gr2s, gas a just, or agx on the lowest setting be good for what im looking for?

Thanks guys for this thread... It has been informative and very reassuring. I have long wanted to sort out the front shocks in my car since the euro s50 upgrade... Nothing did it good enough.
I have coil overs up front, 550lb springs and in the rear I'm running 650lb springs on perch with dihatshu rocky 4x4 bilsteins. I'll look into the kyb agx now and report back...
Cheers once again for some great research

Called up kyb, gr2's/excel g's are the softest, then gas a adjust, then agx.

I'm not sure what bearing was used since Castro's took care of that part for me. Wish I could help.

take the part number I provided somewhere in the first couple pages to your local parts store and tell them you need two of them.

BTW, years should be 88-95 MR2 or Celica GTS

    That should work fine.

Just a side note, Mark from GC recommends Tokico HP over KYB AGX. They're not adjustable though, but he says they're a better damper.

PS--what years do you guys use for getting these parts? I've been doing 1985 for both, but I'm not sure if there are some slight differences that I don't know about.

So is that like 800 rear and maybe 600 front? Or 800 minimum so like 800f and 1100r?

Also, I'd like to set this up pretty well, so I'm probably gonna weigh the front and rear of my car to better estimate what rates would be ideal.
