I did the z3 rack swap and was unhappy with how little thread it grabbed. I replaced thebushing with an ie poly one as well. I used longer hardened bolts along with washers to extend it about 3/4 of an inch. Do you think its a safe idea or should I figure something else out? Bolts are hardened. But I am not running power steering either.
