So i rebuilt all of the suspension in my IX recently except for sway links. they just arrived and I plan on doing them as well. I pulled the front axles as well because the threads were damaged and they needed new CVs. Well now I jacked up the car because i have heard a knocking noise from the front right. Here are the two things I noticed. Both of the axles look like they aren't sitting flush against the diff!!? Not sure how that could be. I used a torque wrench on everything even the hub nut is to spec. So i am not sure why or how this happening but I need to remedy it. The other issue i addressed was the knocking. I thought that maybe the shock wasn't attached tight enough to the mount. I checked with a breaker bar gently just to see if it would spin inside the shock freely and it wouldn't budge. Even with a little force. The other side spins freely. Anyway I am new to this forum (long time bimmerforums member), so I hope this is in the right section and that some one can help me :)
