How much will less weight in the trunk effect springs?

I recently stripped all the tar out of the trunk and the spare tire will probably not go back in. From my estimations that is at least 50 pounds - And I want to run 215 45r16 or 215 40r17 for tires on the car. Still has stock drop hats and pads. Since race sits a little lower in the rear is that the way to go for an even look? Or should I get sports and take out pads if I need it lower?
