So, in some photos I've seen, it looks like the mounting tabs on the E36 rack are positioned differently on the horzontal axis than those on the E30, which would likely be he cause of the bumpsteer issues people have been talking about. My question is whether or not it is possible to swap the internals from a Z3 rack into the stock E30 housing. This would provide the better steering ratio without causing bumpsteer, since he rack would be positioned perfectly when bolted to the subframe, assuming that the internals all have the same measurements.
