So I was having a crashing front shock

Thought I had a failed front Bilstein sport so I ordered two more, Pulled the front end apart today and to my surprise water was getting into my strut tube and filling it up with water.

Hit bump shock goes to compress and water is in the tube....water can't be compressed so hence why the crashing. I replaced them with the new ones and disassembled the old ones and anyway the cartridges were also filled with water.

The bump stops were so saturated with water that everytime you compressed them the stop spits out about 4 oz water.

Nuts. New ones had boots to prevent water from getting into the tubes. Rides night and day differantly. Now to send these out and get them recalibrated.
Working...
