did you align the suspension when you dropped the camber down? do you even know if your camber is equal on both sides? you might be running -5 on one side an -3 on the other.
please don't tell me "well the marks on the camber plate are even"
if you ever did get your suspension properly aligned you would note that even though the camber is set equally, the struts sit at different positions on the camber plate.
not worth it to spend proper money having the car alignment done right, then fuck it all up by dumping it down for an auto-x -
www.vorshlag.com ?
Another vote for them here- much stouter design than the GC plates, and they sell different spring perches for just about every spring/strut combo. So if you want to switch to coilovers later on, you can send back your "stock" spring perches for a credit towards the new ones. Great company to do business with, too. Ground Control, eh, not so much.
Kmac plates are a fucking joke.Leave a comment:

Any feedback on K-Mac plates? I have a set I'm debating on installing with IE3 springs/Koni's.Leave a comment:

When I install IE stage 3 springs, how much negative camber will that produce, before any camber plate adjustment?Leave a comment:

Which of these have urethane mounts and which are solid? How's the ride with solid mounts?Leave a comment:

concur. i have GC with koni sa and no issues so far. about a year installed. The GC (what i have on my car) seem to work just fine, and the material is fine too. The only problem I had with mine initially is during the install, the bilstein sport inserts don't have a long enough thread to mount them vs. the koni adjustable shocks and you gotta pay attention on how you install / tighten them. Other than that they work as designed, I've had them for just over a year now.Leave a comment:

why not reduce neg camber on the ride home?...what if you are going 300 miles on tram lining roads w/ ruts etc.how is the design better?
to me it looks like the vorshlag will have the same problem as ground control.
the alen bolts for adjusting camber will make contact with the ID of the strut tower opening before the full range of camber adjustment is met.
Somebody should either make a new plate with the camber slides recessed, or make a 1/4 inch spacer to drop the plate below the below the strut. then you can set the camber, then set the caster.
INMO you are an idiot if your dumping the camber down at the track and moving it back when you leave. Set it once on a machine and leave it.
neg 3.5 degrees driving home can be a bit annoying when you are exhausted from the day.Leave a comment:

The Vorshlag camber plates have the shortest stack height out there for a true camber plate .
You can check out THIS for measuremants of the E36 set-up .
The E30 will pretty much be the same .
For $20 you can opt to go with a different upper perch bearing that is 5mm shorter .Leave a comment:
