I am looking at a discounted set of new BC Racing coilvers, they are 45mm. My car is a 1987 325is with 51mm tubes. They require welding to install. I expect some amount of adapting or sleeving could get these on the larger tube knuckles without much hassle. If the spring rate is the same there should be no problem there. I am wondering if the shock cartridge in the two sizes of e30 BR coilover they offer are the same and the lower mount is the only difference.
