I am getting ready to pull the trigger on tires. I am not sure if I am going to go the tirerack route or just try costco. Costco has the g-sport. Any thoughts or other suggestions? I am looking for a good all around tire. Thanks.

Yep, the car is a daily driver in NY. I was looking for a name brand quality tire. But top of the line is not necessary.Comment

i fucking love my KDWs in 225/45-16. ridiculous amount of grip for the street. don't know if 205-series would have the same result.
i'd also at least consider falken ze-512 in 225/50-15. those are $68/per from discount tire...past:

I have them on my summer rims. Stock 325i and my daily driver.
I chose the correct 205/55/15 and is satisfied with them. They are great in the dry, but slippery in the wet. Since I do no autocross or track, I actually look forward to wet days since it kinda makes it more fun. But if recommended for autocross/track? IMO no, there are other tires out there better for the performance mindedComment

I rock falken 502s in a 205/55/15. Only in the rear though. So far I like them, pretty cheap too.
I just read that 225/50s are also the same rolling diameter...Im kickin myself for not going bigger :( oh well.***Affordable Powder Coating Here:***

Will the performance be proper when running the larger 225/50? I don't want rubbing or tons of sidewall flex. I will be using d-force wheels, which I think are 15x7.Comment

I would go with the 225/50s. I dont think there will be rubbing unless youre completely slammed, which I believe youre not.
Whats the offset of the dforces?***Affordable Powder Coating Here:***

Yea, I dont think youll rub at all. Im no fitment expert though. Try scanning through the wheel fitment thread. Im sure you can find what you need about fitting those tires.***Affordable Powder Coating Here:***

I really love the BFG G-Force Sport's.
I'm on my second set. Great tire - excellent treadwear - low noise - very affordable.Comment
