So I started to refurbish my wheels. I had no idea wetsanding would be such an arduous task.
Heres what I started with:

And so on I went, starting with 220, then 400, then 800 then 1000.
A solid 5 hours later my result turned out pretty well- polished the lip afterward too. I havent done the 1000 grit on the spokes yet; nor have I washed the wheel, so it all looks a bit gray.

Each step of the wetsand took at least 30 minutes, an hour would be more likely; the first 220 stage easily took longer because i had the most work to do with all the pitting and corrosion.
Put the wheel back on the car so i can drive to work, didnt have time to wash it etc... Anyone used a polishing method that could potentially cut the time down?
Also, these are period correct MSWs, without centercaps. Anyone know where I could get a set? I'm thinking about just fabricating my own, see how it works out.
