    I've got 16x8's, 0 offset and 205/45's on them. Fronts are flush, rears are not quite flush, moreso tucked. Per that website, with no spacer, those 16x8 with 22 offset would be roughly 1" sunk.

    The issue is moreso the inside diameter of the wheel and the design of the wheel. Clearance issues with the inside face of the wheel can be fixed with spacers, but inside diameter clearance issues can only be fixed with grinding.

    Maybe look for a set of VW Steelies that have been widened they cam in 15x6.5 and 15x7 in 4x100 fitment. Poke around on VWVortex.
