New Wheels for the M5... but they need paint

I would really like to polish the lips, however with them being totally primered, i'm affraid of what might be underneath the pain.

think about even 5 years of running around in snow and salt... other germans on this board know that they salt the shit out of the roads here.

even still, i might do a dark grey, diamond schwartz, or even the colour of my car, and polish the lips.

so what is a good method for stripping and polishing the wheels? remember i'm not looking to spend much money on these wheels (saving up for something bigger/better) and i have no power tools now that i live in another country.

So I found some decent paint at the local hella mart, some paint stripper and tape from the BX, and a saturday afternoon of this:

and here is after finishing 3 of the 4. I have to do the last one today, then I'll give the car a good bath.





overall i'm very very happy with the outcome. the colour of the grey is perfect, and while the polished lips aren't perfect (i can see why they were painted now) are much much better looking than the all primered style
