Getting closer to mount the wheels, I am balancing them this weekend. I look into the TS springs from Tunershop but they won't even give spring rates. The response I got from them sound pretty shady, meaning that the springs are cheap and will work for somebody that don't care about the softness of the suspension.
Seems like Lowtec and KW would be other options or the a Coilover kit, which is what I might end up doing to set my drop exactly the way I want.
I'll post pics once I'm done, oh and, I also got some camber plates, seems like that will help lower the car slightly better.

Got my wheels, they look good, but as expected, I have to drop the car a bit more. I am also having problems clearing the brakes in the front. A little grinding and 5mm spacer will solve that problem.
I will post pics once I am done with the install.
Anybody know where to get a 60-40mm spring set up or even a 60-50 set up?Leave a comment:

Yeah, you're gonna have to roll the fenders well to get that setup to work with 215s.Thanks for the confirmation. I actually already ordered my 215s , they are on the way.
I will most likely roll the fenders since the best they could do for the wheel offset was something like a et6 or et7 which gives me around 4 3/4" backspacing.
What would you recommend for springs to drop the car to a nice stance.
I have Intrax springs right now, I like them but they are not low enough I assume.
I was thinking coil over and stuff but that's pricey and a lot of work to install.
Maybe a 60/40 mm drop, if I can find that somewhere?
Thanks
A good 60/40 drop is the FK spring/shock kit. It's a setup not many North American E30 guys use, but it's good.

Run 205/45/16.Cool, thanks a lot.
He just called me back and said the best they can do is a 6-7 mm offset on those wheels and I went for it.
I guess I'lll have to roll the fenders, it should still be easier than fitting a sportmax with a ET0
Thanks guys for all the input, I think I got it all in place now.
I'll post pics when wheels are received.

Whoa, not only did I read the chart wrong (-12 instead of 12) but I typed 3" instead of 4". Holy shit.Hi,
I just called to order and the guy told me that a 15mm offset on the rim would be the equivalent of a 5" backspacing. Can you please confirm since it seems like you were suggesting like a 3" backspacing?
I have to confirm my order and I don't want to end up with wheels that are way off.
THanks again for your help with this.
Yeah, 5" is what I meant. Your link isn't working for me, but I used this chart:

yeah and if you dont like them and they dont work out I will have to rock them on my e30 :)
I might have to buy your spacers from you too ...Leave a comment:

et0 would be 4" backspacing on a 16x8. so et15 is like 4.5" backspacing.Hi,

I'l place my order for that size and will work on the fender rolling then.
I hope the stretched tires will help prevent the rubbing.
Thanks guys for the input.
I just noticed the sticky for wheel fitment questions.
Sorry ;-)
Mystical, I just found a chart online that helps figuring out offset based on wheel width and backspacing.
Here is the link, it seems like a negative 12 offset is around 4" backspacing. Does that make sense?
