Jack the rear up, remove the spring (or use a couple friends for extra weight), heat the paint, then drop the fender with a phone book (or stack of magazines) between the fender and tire. This way you don't end up with a wavy/crimped roll that is weak, or removes the vertical body line. Basically it keeps the stock shape, just goes wider.

This was taken at What the Fitment weekly meet on 8-24-12. Quick demonstration for pulling fenders on the go using one of their cars at the meet. All it take...

plus all the times this very question has been asked. :/

I haven't used Fortune, but on the race car we run 15 x 8 et25 with 225/45 and there's about 2-3mm to the stock strut tube in the front using BFG Rival, the rear had to be pulled a little to keep them from rubbing (late model, low arches). Did the phone book stretch trick.

    Tire size help

Hello. So I ordered a set of enkei Rpf1’s in 15x8 +28. I’m lowered on fortune auto coilovers but not a huge drop. I’m going to get a set of Toyo r888r’s. I want to run 225/50/15 to keep overal correct diameter and I love the meaty tire look, but I’m worried I’ll rub. I have rolled fenders. Do you think I’ll be ok with 225/50/15 or should I not risk it and run 225/45/15. Thanks for any help!
