Today I replaced the control/thrust arms and sway bar links. Wait till you see how bad the ones on the car were!

Total time spent - about 3 hours.

yep, I got a power steering hose leak.

I started by disconnecting the lower knuckle

New parts waiting to be installed

did not have to do anything with the front subframe

    old junk

    nice

    installing new parts

once again, plenty of room for basic tools

    don't do this lol

I went ahead and lowered the car on the ramps and then tightened the arms that way :)

as the stool was about to break lol

This helped get rid of I would say 95% of the front end shake. I didn't have just the shake that would come on strong at 50mph and would not go away till 65mph but also anytime I used the brakes I could feel the
front suspension moving as the bushings were all worn!

There is still very slight vibration at 75mph now, but I'll take the car back to get the tires/wheels checked to make sure they are still balanced right.

    Rear suspension is next.

    Thanks!

Control arms are due this coming week, along with sway bar links. I am doing front suspension first, then rear (subframe/trailing arm bushings). Should then drive like new, as it's already got shocks/springs replaced :)

Still need to replace leaking power steering line/hose, and one of the headlights got a crack now ....fffuuu

    I've been contemplating a 5 series for a dd. E28 or e34... I'm leaning towards e34 now.
