E34 headlight retrofit into my E12 + Cold Air Intake !

i see this thread taking a direction much like the last one.
You are still getting quite defensive at any criticism, even though a few people here have complimented your car.
In your first post you said you want to see what everyone thinks, so here goes mine: E12s in general are awesome, I love E12s, in fact, I owned one, and I wish I never sold it. However, the headlights do look quite off and crooked, which takes away from the car I think. Euro lights (and grills) would look awesome I think.
Here's my E12 I had:
Also, I suggested this in the last thread, but your car would look much better with E38 style 5s. They are the best wheel hands down for E12/E28 imo because they are plentiful and cheap, and look very good. Here are a couple of my E28s with E38 style 5s:
Also, if you want cheap decent suspension, I suggest retrofitting coilovers. This sounds cheesy, but I heard that Nissan 240SX coilover springs on ebay are the right size and rate for an E28 (and maybe E12), and cost all of like $45 for a set, and that includes hats and adjuster sleeves. But heck, for $45? Can't beat that. here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-240SX...sories&vxp=mtr

At least it's an even slant and not a lazy eye. The car is a little sad. That's allLeave a comment:

They're crooked. So the beam will be affected. And since they are US ellips. They have a flat cut off. And now that they are in there at a slant, it will look like / \ lol. And where are your turnsignals?I'm ruining the car by upgrading the headlights ? Yes they are slightly slanted but it doesn't affect the beam. They are an upgrade from factory and I like them. Obviously they aren't a direct bolt in. I made what I had work. I know I'm not going by factory standards so that upsets you. And you can't bare to see that.Leave a comment:

Can't put what I'm thinking in to words but in a nutshell I like your car. :up:Leave a comment:

Those wheels are not working for me at all. I like the rattiness otherwise.Leave a comment:

You're getting way too into it. The car looks and sounds cool. And as far as physics go, when the car is moving , the intake is getting MUCH cooler air than the factory location. The air is away from under the hood. But thanks for the science fair project research. :hitler:Except now you have a hot air intake. That filter will get heat-soaked quickly, even if its in the front high beam. Can't beat bmw stock intake, period. Yeah you look and sound cool, but functionality is compromised. And no I'm not some purist, but I know when to not change a good thing. You may even see a loss in powerLeave a comment:

Needs some more fine tuning. They don't appear to be centered, facing the correct positions, and slightly off axis.Leave a comment:

This is on an e28, but similar, if not identical, intake filter setup.
