Hey guys, I'm just about done with the cafe racer and have been riding it around for the past few days while it's been nice. This bike starts right up and runs great. I purchased it completely stock from an enthusiast who maintained the bike everyday of his ownership and I have a file folder an inch thick full of documented maintenance to prove it. So the drivetrain had been taken great care of when I got it so all I had to do was chop it up a bit...
I built new bars and installed an xs750 tank and made stock appearing mounts for it as well as coated the inside. I narrowed the tail by 3.75 inches to give it a sportier look and I've installed a new Yuasa battery, new grips, like new tires, brakes are like new too and exhaust is wrapped. Electric and kick start.
If purchased as is all you need to do is make yourself a seat out of fiberglass or steel pan...OR you can buy it now and I can build the seat to your desires.
AS IS: $3,000.
I can finish the seat for you to your specs: $3,750-$4,500 depending on the fit and finish you select.
OR...I've just sold my DD and am borrowing a car for the time being until it's replaced. I'd be open to trade for preferably an e28...possibly a 2002, or complete roundie w/o drivetrain.
