Yes, they did back in 1987...very few M3 owners run 15-16" wheels (racing wheels excluded) anymore unless we are talking about BBS wheels. Nearly all are 17 and some even larger. Also the correct size for an E30 would be 225/45/16. It's an oddball size, only a couple manufacturers made it last time I checked. Infact, I only found Yokohama Advan's for $280 each after a quick search. Ran 16's for a bit and quickly sold them because of this. 225/50/16's are available but that's oversized for an E30 so I switched to 17's.

The 16x8 style 5's were cheap enough that it offset the cost of adapters or fill and drill, so we saw a bunch of people run them. Someone would really have to dig the design of these E31 wheels to go through the trouble of running them on an E30 so they'd have to be cheap enough to make it worth it.

  • People doing 5 lug conversions on wheels, what do you think these wheels are worth?

I have had these wheels in my garage stored away since I sold my 1991 850cs back in 2011. The car had less than 45k miles! I had them repainted as couple of areas had clear coat failing from chemicals used to clean the rims over the years. Anyway, I think they look wicked good on a e30 or any 80s 90s BMW with 5 lug conversion. They are truly BAT worthy but I was thinking of posting them here for sale. What do you think they are worth? No curb damage, or dings, dents nothing and comes with all four center caps, new stickers and a brand new center cap tool remover. They are 16x7.5 et15 (Has that deep dish look due to lower offset) and they have been discontinued since 2010 from BMW.
As prices on the 8 series steadily climbs, these wheels will continue to become more valuable just sitting in your garage. Please let me know what do you guys think the are worth so I can post them here for sale.
    Thanks
