Sorry about the huge delay. Have not had a chance to weigh the wheels. I will try to weigh them tonight with a mail scale accurate down to the ounces. I will update with my findings.

Yes, outrageously heavy. But the guy admits his scale sucks and his numbers for the 17x8 are the same as the 17x9... I think I'll wait for Chutrain's numbers.

    Outrageously heavy 17s, damn!

I want to go 5 lug to be able to run the TRM MT1-R, 17 x 9, only 16.4 lbs!

I can't imagine that a 17x8 and a 17x9 wheel weigh the same...not to mention she admits her scale isn't up to par.
It's not really a girl, he was making a joke. It's a gentleman that frequently does autocross and also posted up other weights of wheels as well as created the thread. The weights may be slightly off but not by much.

Here's some info from BF.c E34 section, IIRC 17" Style 5's weigh in at around 19lbs without a tire.

I weigh myself holding the wheel (ex. 147lbs.) I subtract the difference, reweigh, and take the average..aka the wheel+ tire weighs 49.5lbs. Home scales suck - so you have to make multiple measurements like this to get a 'true' reading. If you post, take readings this way to keep it comparable and post as such:

    Wheel type/size:
Tire type/size: (or put no tire if wheel only weight)
    Weight: (uhhh put the weight)

    Here are mine:

    Wheel type/size: BMW "style 32" 17X8 weight 25lbs
    Tire type/size: Falken Azenis 245/40/17 weight 25lbs
    Total Weight: 50lbs

    Wheel type/size: BMW "style 32" 17X9 weight 25lbs
    Tire type/size: Falken Azenis 255/40/17 weight 27lbs
    Total Weight: 52lbs

    That would be awesome!!! Thanks!

And TwoJ's, style 5's are a bit played out and in my opinion don't look all that amazing...plus they don't take lime green very well :-)
