It's really not that hard...Wipe it down once a week or so and you're good. If you just spend like 30 minutes on it, it'll look great. Plus the white with those stripes looks 10x better than the black with the stripes.

I don't really mind the colors, they look good. Although if you follow through with this and do the #1 design instead of a black base with the stripes, you should do a white base.

Personally i like the contrast with black and the other colors, so id go with choice #1
but really, go with what you like best.
