Thanks for the update. Most modern transmissions are made by the same people btw. That is why they ALL fail. And yes, even your awesome GM trannys fail.

an aluminum block 383 stoker plus a trans weighs less than an m50 [edit]with a trans[/edit].
I have had both setups on a toledo scale.

I wasn't going to say something, but ohwell.... Looking at the video, it does have fuel injection, and most likly an aluminum top end. Plus SBC's aren't cheap to build anymore along with any other engine someone wants to mod no matter the make. Being a 410ci, and the video said it was a "bored 350" That meens that its a .040 over 350 with a 4" crank. I know that on 396 strokers, there are times that people have to fill the bottom of the block cause they get into the water jackets when cutting for the 3.875 stroke. Or these guys may of went out and got a aftermarket race block.

Guys that do those type of things are the yin to our yang. That sort of thing isn't my cup of tea but without them, making our cars fast/sporty/cool looking using euro parts and tuning methods wouldn't be as cool.

Also, I like jersey. Lived there till I was 8 and still go back all the time for family. Sometimes it does smell intense though.

a fully built chevy engine weighs in around 550lbs i believe... weight distribution means nothing if a driver cant drive.

I do not approve. But I can see why someone would do it.

Also, think if you had lets say a toyota or something that you didn't care about, I would be a lot of you wouldn't feel bad about putting a 350 in one of those, but some die hard toyota guys would be mad.

that being said, I wouldn't put one in a BMW, but I would toss it in a miata or something because I couldn't care less about OE mazda.

Too bad its a old skool SBC with a lame carb type supercharger set-up.
    That equals total fail.

On a side note I've been in two of the LS1 powered cars pictured in post #18. :D

Then search e46/e36 auto tranny fail and you'll see why GM tranny's suck and don't blame life time fluids because gm auto tranny's fail on there own vehicles at the same miles.
