If he is at fault, which he admitted, why be a little bitch and try to make the other person who was innocent in this accident seem at fault?

I finally do and look down to call my bud again for further directions, and i mean looked down for a split second (while going like 10mph) I look up slam the brakes, my brake pedal splurts and kicks back up and WAM.

Smoke starts coming from my front end, i cant put my car in neautral nothing. I get out after cursing a few and feeling hurt because of what just happened to my car. The guy gets out and i see he only has a few scuff marks on his bumper while mine was literally falling apart. Then he says "alright how are we going to do this" and im like your fking serious? Thats nothing??.

YOU caused damage to his vehicle, and ultimately YOU are responsible.

Anyways, i manage to put my car in neautral and push it into a nearby gas station. the guy decides not to call the cops and shit, but calls his insurance company, i tell im ill pay or even buff out the meaningless scuff marks off his bumper myself as long as he doesnt call the cops so i get points.

why should you be treated any different from someone else who has points? you act like a few more point will break you and you already have a rap sheet.

He said he had back surgery rescently and thats why he called his insurance just to make sure of this and that.

Here is the problem, the dude never calls me to buff his bumper. He files a ticket on me to his insurance company so i can pay the expenses of his scuffed bumper. WTF. Where did a persons "word" go? Me however being the bigger idiot and not getting any of his info.

He doesnt need to call you about the damage you caused to his car. thats what his insurance company he pays is for.

U know it is actually illegal to not call the cops if you are involved in a accident... Atleast in WA you can get a hefty ticket in the mail.

I don't think the guy is a "biotch" at all. If someone rear ended me in any senerio I would get as much out of it as I could. Insurance companies are there for a reason, to pay up when shit happens. Unfortunately they almost always try to get out of it.

Give or take maybe it was 15. But when i bought the car(about a month ago) the bumper core was already hit and bent sideways, since the car had been in a minor accident. So instead of taking the impact it just bent even more and got pushed in. if it was more than 10 to 15 i would have atleast bent his bumper. It was still PERFECLY in place with just small marks from my moldings.

I just called the guy a bitch because i did not agree with him not calling the cops and saying he would let me or a shop i know fix it. Then filing a ticket and doing the complete opposite. However, in the end it was my fault and i was angy/frustrated at the time when i called him that.

but unfortunately you cant give someone a break these days because they try and take advantage of every situation. Like a story up there, where the lady said one of our members backed up into her, after she was at fault.

In some townships in California, the cops won't show up/make a report unless there are injuries reported at the scene, or traffic is being blocked. I don't understand this logic, but it happened to me when I was rear-ended by someone who did not have insurance. I just took down every last bit of info I could (plate number, license number, verified phone and address) before the guy left.

I was driving my girlfriend's lifted Jeep, so the damage was just some paint scratches on the lower bumper. The grill, hood, and bumper on his stock Nissan pickup were destroyed; mostly by the Jeep's tow hitch. ;) The guy's father (driver was a teenager) paid $700 out of his pocket if we did not get insurance involved. Sounded like a deal to me.
