What is the purpose of the yellow beams? They do look cool. Thanks.

They look cool and the yellow light can make it a little easier to see at night. Mostly in bad weather.

Does someone has some pics of an e30/e28 or e34 with just yellow high beams? They can be compared with smoked low beams. I used the search but it couldnt find anything :(
