    I read in a British auto mag, a long time ago, that the author described the Quattro's exhaust note... something akin to hand grenade repeaditly going off inside a cello..

    The 'cool' thing to do in Africa at the end of the Group B days was for the spectators to slap the car as it went by. I don't think that most Africans fully grasped the forces involved in the operation.

    Who's crazier, the rally drivers or the rally spectators? Seriously. Look at 9:40. The boundaries of the course are the people..

    lovely noises, for sure. wish this form of motorsport would catch on here (lawsuit, anyone?)
