how illeagal are blue running lights?

ok the alt wire that goes up to the fuel rail and back down to the starter shorted out on the fuel rail. i guess years of rubbing and old brittle rubber just gave up...

but now the car runs like the timing is off
i set it to 15' @ 2000 rpm
still it hesitates

is it possible the short damaged the ecu or something else that would let it start and run but run like crap...

any suggestions?

There are a few voices or reason around here, sometimes I forget with all the invincible boy racers, it can feel a bit like the GM F body crowd, T Verdier's car is actually better in person, he's got it together, and there is a clean silver 5 lug car in the same area, I've been driving mechanical injection diesels so long I forgot how much work electronic FI cars are to work little bugs out of.

My uncle actually has a motorcyle team, has been hurt real bad racing track, seen his friends killed on the track. But, you know where he got hurt the worst? Where most the people he knows have died? When drunk drives plow into them.

Um, no, you can easily kill someone else driving like an idiot or drunk...I'm almost done eating and laughing, I really missed hanging out in the preschool but I get bored pretty easily.

Seriously, you'll find the 5, 6, 7, and 2002 crowd are pretty content and respectful, for some reason a 3 series is like riding a bicycle, it turns you into an idiot, the platform doesn't matter, e30, e36, e46, although e21 I cant respond to, and there are a few exceptions to the rule...kinda strange.
