I don't think I'd trust a M3 in the hands of a shop with a name like "Pruven" performance... that better at least be the owner's last name. Doubly so after seeing their repair job had a shitty repeating soundtrack that made hearing information on the repair much harder.

BMW is covering these repairs now under the 10 year body corrosion warranty. I have the notice from BMW left over from my old e46 M3.

There are plenty of other reasons not to own these cars. The differentials fail constantly, not uncommon to ruin a diff under 50,000 miles. Other points of failure are things like bent control arms. I bent both of my rear control arms from normal spirited driving. SMG pumps ($3000), VANOS failures ($1500), interior paint peels off and the headliner lets go. I spent more on my M3 every two months on maintenance then I bought my e30 for.

OH MY GOD! I heard the e46 had issues but I never thought it was that bad. Thats just disgusting. I would be furious if that was my car regardless of how I drove it. This is why you dump any new BMW before the warranty is up I guess

    Just hearsay, though.

It would be easy enough for BMW to say the cars must have not been driven as intended or some shit like that.

Imagine what the HorsePowerFreakes M3's will look like shit the whole back of the car could fall off.
If the car is stock or mildly modified bmw should be picking up the repairs period.

Yup, I've seen it! Even ones driven by grandmothers, steptronic and all. It's pretty sad.

BMW Canada isn't budging on the repairs though. Local guys are having to pay out of pocket.

one of the reasons why I picked up an e30... Officially the most reliable BMW ever... I'm seriously using my e46 as a daily driver until it breaks
