e31's are chill cars IMO. they are for rich people that want a v8 or v12 under the hood and dont want to shift gears. the 850csi is a completely different story though... i would trade one for my e30 any day of the week.

You know why new BMW's suck? Because they're heavy, bloated, full of computers, numb, dull and boring to drive.

You know why the E31 sucks? See above.
335i is full of computers, but its still fun to drive, and definately NOT dull.

At work we have an 850csi with a 6speed manual gearbox. I'll try to snap a few pics tomorrow. It's getting work done to it, but I'll see what I can do. It is super sick. Dirty looking, but super sick.

E31 sexy as hell to look at boring to drive unless its a 6spd mt. Repairs wise yea expensive but they were one of the most technologicly advanced cars for their time.

s70/2 we all drool about was based on the m70.

Id take a 850 CSI any day. I probably wouldn't drive it because I'd be too afraid I'd have to fix it.

m70 with already low compression + twin turbos = ridiculous 12 cylinders of fury

For all the cars to buy that'll be disappointing to drive, hugely expensive to maintain and horrifically unrelaible you guys are picking an 8 Series? Sure they look great dropped over big rims, but the drivetrain/electricals is shit.

It was like the Germans were offended that only the Italians could build sexy but utterly shithouse cars and so took it upon themselves to better the Italians by creating the 8 Series.
