Alright here see it this way. People throw doors open all of the time and cause door dings. Do they stick around? No they're jerks. Whats funny? My situation is even smaller than a door ding in that what little damage was caused was to MY automobile. Not a scratch on the shiny round chunk of solid metal hanging off the back of the other car. But give half the idiots in the world a keyboard and suddenly they act like they've lived perfect lives where they don't even dare tear the label off their mattress and scoff towards those that jay walk. Do you guys seriously think I'm going to end up on cops because I managed to put a super small albeit annoying dent in my own car's hood? Jesus.

I haven't really tried to buff it out or even know where to begin with what chemicals to use, so I'm clueless.
The dots of acid bird shit kind of set in and feels like rust per say..
Idk how to exxplain it, it's just rough.

Tips?

Wet sand? Clay bar? Idk if either of those will help, if it went through the paint then respray is the only way.

Lol. Car parked beside truck, as in the truck was blocking the view of the smaller vehicle. I have sealed beams, complete shit headlights. And my brakes are freaking shot, hence my franken BBK sitting in the closet, just need to build a bracket and get some brake lines deserving of being connected to the assembly. But yeah it was a facepalm moment.

There are 2 spots of bird shit acid that got into the paint which made a dime sized mark that has been bothering me.

Think I could buff the spots out or are they really set in the paint?

Well, the important thing is that the car is still driveable and you can still get to your great job that your family and kids depend on for you to pay the mortgage and take care of all the other adult responsibilities.

Just today I was thinking to myself how awesome the E30's brakes are stock when traffic on the freeway all of a sudden came to a hault up ahead and I had to stop from 80ish mph to 0 because I was sort of day dreaming while driving.

So you hit an illegaly parked vehicle and said oh well I'll just pay for it my self don't want to inconvenience the person who said" fuck it I'll park in the middle of the road." even if it was found to be your fault they had no damage. You had nothing to loose. Unless you were afraid of a DUI.

Pretty much. My hood was already fucked up anyways I'd feel like a dick trying to get someone to replace it. Someone keyed the hood right in front of the drivers side from when I bought the car and it had lots and lots of rock chipping going on. I figured I was going to have to replace it anyways or have it repainted. That and our local PD are freaking crazy, I've seen them pull bull horns on jay walkers, they try to make a case out of everything.
