I keep a maglight in the car, part of my little "this car could leave me stranded at any point in time" pack. Wasn't high. The car just had a funky smell to it. So, sober, bright light to assess how fucked my hood was and how not fucked up a chunk of iron on the back of the other car was. Hope that cleared things up.
