So is there a list of options we can view or suggest?

    -E46 transmitter
    -tilt sensor
    -proximity sensor
    -battery backup
-rain sensor that can close windows and sunroof, even pop outs, trunk, and hood if you got crazy enough with junkyard parts, actuators, and servos.
    -neighbor siphoning my gas sensor
-recording of my ak47 racking the slide as a 7.62x39 hollow point enters the chamber for a system armed tone

could magnets be integrated though i sorta like the idea, but maybe enclose them in a steel shell that can be firmly attached to the car, b/c if somebody really wanted to be a douche they could crawl under my car and click the selector rod into first right? :curse:

hmmm i guess only other option would be bags to ensure that doesn't happen

Now that I have the stupid little USB programmer after almost 18 months of waiting, I am trying like mad to get this together. As soon as I can get the video up of how it works, I am going to write the tutorial. That part is going to be tough, but I think I have enough pictures to make it pretty fool-proof.

I want you guys to be able to install these easily. It really is only about 15 wires, but every damn one has to be perfect, and it is my job to make sure you know exactly what you are doing.

As soon as those 2 steps are done, I will be announcing the build.

How I will be doing this is with a $100 deposit (when order is placed) with the $75 balance (additional if option are added) due on shipment. I have to order them in groups of 6 minimum, so I would like to have 12 guys committed, but this is NOT a group buy.

These will never be a normally stocked item, unless demand is WAY higher than I anticipate.

I might be doing an "Introductory Special" though, lets see how the video turns out.

    Hang in there, guys!

    Luke

I was interested in this back in the day, and I am definitely still interested in it today.

Remote start would be perfect, especially on those cold Flagstaff mornings.

Plus, a 21 year old car with remote start? All my friends would be like "OMGZZ Brah, kewlest shiz i haz eva scene!!11!"

There we go, a couple of guys who get it! Actually, it still needs to see the e brake on or it won't remote start either.

this is coming together quickly, I am gonna post a vid of it in action soon.

    Exactly.

It's fool-proof. Well --- Unless you leave your window down and someone reaches in and puts your car in gear for you and undoes the e-brake. Then whoops. ;) Not that that would ever happen.

    5. THEN the motor shuts off.

Stalling the motor means it isn't running...if it isn't running when the door CLOSES, the system will not allow remote start.

You really cannot mess with it, it is solid programming.
So, pretty much, this system will shut the engine off when you lock the car? Then, it's completely set up for the car to restart, under this system, with no negative repercussions (starting in gear, etc).

You're pretty much priming the car to remote start by following the steps to shut it off, correct?

If your tach SIGNAL didn't work, your car would not run...and then we don't care if you get remote start, do we? Yeah, the thingie with the needle on it might be broke, but the signal going to it works just fine.

There will be adequate instructions on how to install this thing, as Accident said "I will guide your dumb ass through it"...but you might be better off hiring one of several bay Area guys on here to come do it for you.

In theory you could engage the ebrake, stall the engine in 1st, get out and when you come back it'll start in gear, but you'd have to be an apocalyptic idiot to manage that.

For anyone worried about having to wire this up, know this:

I bought an alarm from Luke maybe 2 years ago. Granted, it was a much simpler system than this, but I'd never done an alarm install before. I had done wiring of other things in the past, though (car stereos). Luke provides great instruction sheets, and mine didn't even have pictures! His kits come well documented, and when I ran in to a little snag he picked up his phone every time I called. Luke is a top notch guy and a very talented electronics guy. He WILL guide you through getting this into your car, even if it means tearing out the little hair he has left (love ya big guy)
