If you're not trying to make a joke, dont make a bolt in toy, weld it in too.

You can also use a pipe stretcher to stretch open up that inside diameter so they will fit inside. Make sure you get the right stretcher, as one is for stretching length, the other inside diameter. Just go to ACE and ask for a pipe stretcher, sometimes they come as a set.

Any info on how to get these bits inside of eachother for reinforcement?

I cut the metal roll bar framing off my Jeep once and redid it using PVC. Looked great and saved weight. Rolled it once or twice trying to drift around a truck and u-turning car but still came out alive partially due to the PVC and partially due to my driving abilities anyone else would have died.

Kind of late to it Harry, going to invest in an AutoPower cage. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I'm liking the PVC roll bar idea (I don't want the weight penalty of metal). However, I had one question. On the rear down bars, can I bow them out against the sides of the car, like some of the metal roll bars on the market, so I can still put friends in the back seat? Also, can I use some 1/4" pipe for a harness mount?
