I think to be overrated, you need to have a fan base so into their respective cars that they are not only in complete denial regarding the faults, but think they are king shit. I don't think my e36 M is overrated because I know what to expect from a 3000lb 240hp car.. Apparently these people were expecting to shit their pants at the sheer acceleration...?

I bought an E32 along with my E30s, Ive never appreciated the E30 more.

The most overrated BMW should be the any of the E36s or the 335i.

Wow. I always though "overrated" (when describing an object at least) translates to "not worth the money you put in".

That said, it's hard to imagine E30s are overrated. In terms of price to quality ratio they turn out rather well...
