Keep an eye on the condition of your spark plugs - particularly if you think you might have vacuum leaks or fuel issues.
I picked my car up from the body shop yesterday and I realized it was running on only five cylinders. Well, when I got home I (luckily) refrained from having some words with the body shop, since I was under the impression they dogged it all day and busted a rocker arm.
Turns out, my head is clean (like it should be) and the injectors were connected. And then it clicked: spark plugs! I pulled each one and low and behold the #4 was so gunked up and corroded that it had sealed the gap. A little bit of back alley coat hanger work and clean as a whistle. Car coughed and runs like a champ now!
I blame the extra gunk on nasty ethanol-laden Occoquan, VA fuel.
