If they are 17s and 8.5" wide they are probably ET20. Maybe Et15. Somewhere around that ballpark if they were actual 5 Series fitment.
I would trust those guys with the tire size. I don't know much about those E30 M3s...

wheels are ugly, send them to me. did you end up taking the car up north?Leave a comment:

they should be stamped with the offset, also posting the width would be helpful. Sounds like they are 8 to 8.5 though.Leave a comment:

No adapter needed. If the wheels are from a 1980s 5 series, only 3mm spacers at the front might be needed, and only if the rims hit the calipers' carrier.
BTW your tires are too tall for an e30 M3. You need 234.40.17...Leave a comment:

Ps. These adapters would work very well on your E30 M3:

You may need spacers, definitely not adapters. Spacer necessity and size cannot be determined without you providing wheel width and offset. You definitely need new tires, though, because those are way too big.Leave a comment:

well they are 17" and the tires are 235-45-r17 and they came of a 5 series around a 80's i believeLeave a comment:
