I found a 325es the other day on craigslist.
The Good: It runs, the clutch is good, tranny is good, Its a ES
The Bad:
glove box is missing/broken
through rust on the trunk
passenger door key hole is gone
Passenger door interior is gone
trunk key hole is gone
the back is bent in on both sides for some reason, but easy fix
window doesnt work due to guy screwing with the wiring
check engine light on
The airconditioner and the powersteering are not hooked up with theeir pulleys so i have no idea if they work
the radiator fan is in the back seat
the radiator looks as if someone dropped it repeatedly
two of the radiator bolts are missing
intake boot has a leak "fixed with duct tape"
evidently the PO took off the stock exhaust and put on "custom" sidepipes. WTF:curse:
When driving the wheel shakes...bad steering components or just not having the steering dampener from the power steering?
When i got to the guys house he had a older mercedes station wagon from same era as e30, a 8o something 6 series, and a 90 something 5 series so i thought that this would have be a decent car.
now im gonna try and pick this up for 100-300 bucks if i can talk the guy low enough is this a good price or not?
This would just be a fun summer project and then whenever it dies beyond my skill to repair its off to the u-pull it for other people to grab parts.
