    Its too bad most motor shops dont use torque blocks and actually do it all right like this guy. So true what he was saying about taper and egg shape cylinder walls with expansion and retraction with machining temps, and also about the hatching shards that the rings usually pick off during break in.

    I really like the idea of proper machining and eliminating any metallics in the oil.

    i bet to have your motor done there it cost big bucks.

    when I built my (Aussie) spec E30 motor, I had a torque plate made, properly round bores are worth ~ 3rwhp...

    he should not have rings on his fingers when handling the crank and installing pistons, rings will bruise the journals

    you've got that backwards... since no one cares about the style of filming the camera guy should have just stuck to the basics. Its kind of annoying when you try to watch them build an engine and the camera keeps going in and out of focus at obscure angles

    Yeah they messed up on that part but their target audience would be interested in the video enough to bare through the music and watch the video.
