narrowly avoided a head-on accident @ 60mph, pregnant woman was noddin' on oxy (with two other kids in the car!) and i was too afraid of the accident happening in her lane to go out around her -

    mother's lumina:

    crazy preggo junkie's caravan:

it was a pretty crazy accident though, the hit spun the lumina around 3 times and i ended up in the ditch on the opposite side of the road. our cars came to rest ~300ft away. happened on route 3 in montville back in july '09, maybe two weeks before i got my first e30.

i bought a late model bronzit 325i sedan and went down to nashua for a night. i let my cousin drive it to the store for more beer (i was drunk and wanted to chill with some college girls). the next morning we all staggered out to the car to drive home and this is basically what was waiting for me:

edit - i still don't know what happened to the e30, never knew whether my cousin got into an accident and lied or if it got run into in the empty parking lot i was parked in.

'59 Alfa Sprint, I dont have the slightest clue what happened. It was bought as a parts car in the '70s. Yes, its a true barn find. Someday it will be back on the road.

    As it sits now.

Since I'm on the Alfa Romeo topic, we have my '69 Alfa 105.51 1750 GTV US spec. It is one of 640 built for the US market in '69. Yeah, it was the holy grail GTV. In storage from '76 to Oct '06 had 35600 miles on it when I got it.

June 7 2011 at 0718... I was going 0 mph, waiting for traffic to clear before making a left turn. Some jackass in a Nissan Frontier smeared me.

The insurance company said it was in overall poor condition and showed poorly prior to the accident. Does that look like it was in poor condition before getting smeared? Proof that all insurance companies are out to screw you no matter what. They totaled the car, repair bill was greater than $17K. I sold the remains for $2700. I miss that car.

    My '69 Datsun 2000.
September 15 2006. Hit and run. Some idiot kid with no license stole mommies Saturn and went tear assing through town. I was stopped a stop sign waiting to make a left turn on a busy street. He decided to try to make a sudden right turn at 60 mph. I watched the guy nail me and there was nothing I could do. I was ready to kill the passenger, but they got the car started before I could get out of my car. In a round about way, likely a good thing. I got the Alfa above, after this happened. It was a gift from a family friend.

$10K later, it was back in one piece. I did manage to get the insurance company to fix this one, more or less. It took me another 6 months to get things fully sorted out on the car. The windshield is still cracked, not covered by insurance because it cracked on the passenger side and the impact was on the drivers side... Really? The sidewalk destroyed the lower ball joint on the passenger side, why does it surprise them that the windshield cracked as well?
Now, this is how it sits today.

Please tell what insurance company screwed you like this, so we can avoid it.

Heres my story about my 2004 R32. May she Rest in Peace..

I was driving up to a friends Cabin up in Big Bear CA. for a snowboarding trip to bring in the new year. Me and one of my good friends got caught up and had to leave late to head up to the Cabin. By the time we got to the bottom of the highway (highway 18 ) it was dark and a storm seemed like it was coming since hail began to come down. I should have turned around at this point and just gone home, since my decision to keep going cost me my car. We pulled over to the side and started putting snow chains on...the R32 is AWD so i thought i would be fine. Despite the heavy snow, we made it all the way up the highway, driving very cautiously the whole way. Less than a mile into the town a group of people were pulled over taking their chains off since the roads seemed to clear. I did the same. The last stretch of road before turning into the town of big bear was a steep slope. I was going down at about 25mph keeping a steady speed. Suddenly, I got no response when i hit the brake and the car started to slide forward. I picked up speed to about 35. I was trying to pump the brakes as my ABS OFF light came on. no clue why. Well that was it...i braced for impact and yelled to my friend who was sleeping to brace as well. My beautiful R32 slid and slammed into a telephone pole and rolled onto its side. Luckily no one was injured and we still went snowboarding the next day. I guess to look at the bright side, if this didnt happen, i wouldnt be in my awesome E30 now..

    My R32 In her prime.

I hit gravel on a high speed run doing roughly 170mph+. Rear end did the dance of death and I couldn't do anything but ride it out. Thankfully/unbelievably walked away with only minor injuries even with all 6 sides of the car impacted.
