I'm sorry... I'm just a little sour from my e30 breaking every other month.

oh by the way... my front passenger brake caliper decided to un attach itself going 25 mph for no reason. Now I have to work on that, get used to stuff like that. If you're not ready for that go get that deal where you buy one Kia and they give you a free kia rio.

wrong forum by a loooooong shot.

Most of us are here because we WANT to work on these cars/can't afford a new car/would rather drive this old bimmer than a new Kia or a combination of all the above.

I would MUCH rather buy a car that needs a bit of work at a cheaper price and fix it then pay more for a perfect working car (which doesn't exist). I bought my Jetta for $400 in horrible shape, put a few hundred dollars and a bunch of spare parts into it and now have a reliable car worth probably $1500.

My dad always taught me that when buying a used car, expect to spend another $300-$500 just on maintenance like changing all the fluids, replacing brake pads if needed, changing belts, etc. Old cars tend to be worn out and you are much better off replacing known to fail items when you first get the car then when they do break at a likely inconvenient time.

If you do end up buying and e30, do a timing belt change first thing unless you know for sure it has been done recently.

That first one is worth it just for the parts. Especially if you got the price knocked down a bit

yesterday i went and check out both cars, the first one has a huge dent on the gas tank, the trunk lock doesn't open when push on, the motor sound like shit, i offer him 440 and he took the offer but he was being a shithead afterward so i didn't buy it.

the second one is total shit, don't even bother to check it out. the front seats doesn't have a rail and non e30 seat so only screw up front, non e30 seat belt, hood latch cable is broken, interior look like shit, brake like shit, shift like shit, the car is just full of shit. i advice him to call pnp for the best price.
