    20k is easy if you buy NEW parts and refresh everything AND YOU STILL DO 99% of the labor yourself. Doesn't have to be an M3

    Suspension:
    - CAs and CABs. HD RSMs
    - IE3s with Bilstein sports

    So total I'm at $5772 for a pretty damn fast sleeper.

    misc m50 install parts $400 (booster, rad, seals, mounts, DME, Oil pan, etc)
    e36 Rack $40
    Rear shock mounts/ shocks $100
    Seat Covers $20
    Under $2500 for my 87 M50 Swapped Convertible.

    I've probably spent around $7k total, including the purchase of the car. By next spring I could see it being around >$9k since I've got to finish my suspension work, wheels & tires, plus odds and ends.
