    Thanks. It worked with my modern car but it didn't work with my 1985 car. It displayed the message:

    We are sorry, but the vehicle history report cannot be displayed for VIN (#####deleted#####) at this time. Please ask the dealer for a copy of an AutoCheck report for this vehicle.

    Try to contact CarFax and file a complaint with them. Most of the reports are from CarFax.

    So I just did my verts VIN, and it shows an accident that I did not claim. In fact the car has been under the knife on jack stands since last year. What do I do about this?


    Edit: The claim specifies "collision with animal."

    Get a 100% free VIN Check and vehicle history. Lookup by VIN or license plate for accidents, sales records, total loss, recalls, past thefts, and more for free.
