Junkyards around here will pay you about $600 shipped for you to take one of their pristine condition s5x engines off their hands. -
Car-Part is geared towards shops, most of those engine come with warranty and are confirmed mileage/good running. I use it all the time to get major parts for clients' cars.
Location does have a lot to do with it. Here in FL, cars live so long that they are in the wrecker before they rust, and usually in the wrecker because the engine or trans failed.Leave a comment:

Ever heard of "You pull it."?
You might sell it to someone who doesn't feel like pulling one themselves... But then again if you are asking what Junkyards charge, then you'll have a hard time selling it too.Leave a comment:

Should move back to Mass, dude. I've been flagging e36 drivers down and asking for for their engines. Most I paid was $75 the other day, but the guy pulled it himself and brought it to my house.Leave a comment:

That's because you look at car-part.com.
If you think car-part is the definitive and end-all junkyard parts search, you're an idiot.Last edited by TurboJake; 03-25-2012, 08:02 AM.Leave a comment:
