Engine swaps should be pretty fine. Most people have never been asked to pop their hoods, and even if they did if it looks okay it should be fine.

Unless you have a visible turbo or a big cone filter right in view most cops won't know the difference between on BMW engine and another IMO.

So have any of you swapped guys ever get pulled over & had your hood popped? Seems like a common problem in the jdm community, but seems to be rare on our side of the fence. Besides exhaust fix it tickets. Just wondering because just had a friend in his 240 get his hooded popped & slapped with a fat ref ticket. Any thoughts? Experiences?
