RS4 Avant was never sold here. We got the S6 Avant (both C4 and C5 chassis) for a bit and that's it.

S4 Avant is no longer sold in the US.

Wagons in general are few and far between herw. Hell, even Volvo no longer has wagons in the US. Meanwhile the rest of the world gets this:

99/07/08 all 350/5.3L 4wd 3:73 (dont remember for sure if the 08 is 3:73 or 3:42) gear sets, and mostly mixed. but lots of what you would call highway driving. the ol 350 is actually prolly more like 16-17 mostly. When you buy 100% gas (we have places that sell non ethanol) and light footed women of the family drive them for the most part. Hell even when you drive it like you stole it you still get 16ish. Last long High way drive loaded to the gills with pets and shit to the point it was stacked to the roof from front to back, for 2 peoples needs for nearly 3 months they got 18.5ish from MT to Cleveland and back

Just because you dont think you need one, does not mean you get to choose what everyone else drives.

You have not been in a tahoe or a yukon have you?? Yeah they have their cheap points about them, but they will be running on 4 cyl and limping along on 1 good wheel bearing and 4 blown shocks and leaking everything for 35k miles while your comparable mondern BMW will say fuck you when the 1st sensor starts acting weird. A full size GM (even a new one) will run very very poorly longer than most cars on the road will run at all. Also considering the capability, power, and versatility you get with them the 18-21mpg we get in any of our 3 is quite good IMO unless your pulling 4k+ lbs then you are looking at about 14-15.

Because BMW engineers never got fucked in the back of a hatchback/wagon. If so, they'd be making M3-W's all day.

because it was made to be orginaly to haul familys in comfort and have enough space for all the things?if you want a performance based car its for (selfish) reasons not for the better of the family. and as said before no demand or much forseen profit for bmw? just my guess ... but honestly i have no clue but would be cool.

wagons don't sell in 'murica.. but x5 and x6m's do. BMW marketingwerks know what generates profits.

That's a good question. On a side note I don't think they should make m6/m3 verts or sedans if they're not going to make wagons.
