Thanks :) It took some thought, and a lot of grinding on the pcvc or whatever 1" elbows to fit. The PVC ones were way too fat. I did butt 1" PVC up to the end of the pcvc (??) stuff with a good bit of all purpose cement.

Gonna make a few more I think. I'm making one functional, bought one of those speakers and a.little amp kit on eBay for 10.50

I received my gift today after some shipping issues and it was definitely worth the wait. It's absolutely awesome! My guy put some real thought into this, and it shows. I don't know who thought it was more cool - me or my wife!

Here's a transcription of the handwritten note inside:

Dear Chris,

I hope this gift got to you before Christmas, and I hope you find use for it. I couldn't think of anything I could buy you that would be useful and a well thought out gift, so I decided to make you something with E30 parts. I have a spare M20 in my garage and was trying to think what could be made without lots of fabrication and had the idea of turning the valve cover into a key hanger, so that is what I did. If you saw the gift before reading this, you're probably wondering what it was. I hope you have enough sets of keys to put this to good use in the house. I read on the internet that Rustoleum Regal Red was a perfect match to BMW's Zinnoberrot which is the color of Klaus. Please forgive the not perfect paint job; it was my first experience with spray paint primer, base, and clear coat. Putting your username on the little plate turned out to be more difficult than I imagined but I thought it looks kinda neat if you are able to read it. You can either mount using the wire and hooks as if it were a painting, or you can cut off the wire and turn the two eye hooks and just put the eye in the hooks on the wall. Let me know when you get it, and I hope the color matches as well as I hoped it would. Have a Merry Christmas and I hope to see some pictures of it mounted and being used!
