Highway speed down to 45...this is where the cop sits to give out ticket. A long time ago, when speed limit was 55 in PA and 65 in WV, there were so many cops sitting on the PA side of I-70 to give out speeding tickets. Pay the fine and learn the place where cops like to sit.

I do strongly agree with you that one should take responsibility for their actions, but when it comes to a trivial traffic citation, I'd rather refute it and save money.

Taking responsibility for ones actions is being a man. When you say "may or may not have been guilty of" that screams guilt. You know you were speeding so stop trying to weasel your way out of it and man up.

Obtaining knowledge from r3v, or any source, will still count as my knowledge. When you learn things from others, i.e. teachers, was it your inherent knowledge? No. Most things most people know came from something/someone else. So excuse me.

I probably won't need any more 'help' anyway, I've already learned the information I need; TBD and such. So I suppose this thread can be reduced to my own bashing, since I made the common mistake of making a useless thread.

Where were you when you got the ticket? In my town the main street (3 lanes going both ways) has speed limit of 45mph as well but the average speed on that street is more like 65-70 so if the situation was like that you were probably being completely reasonable in your rate of travel.

It was a 3 lane street, going both ways, and there is a freeway on/off ramp two blocks down. He said he clocked me at an intersection from where he was, but that intersection's sight is blocked by trees from his point of view (I even went back and took pictures). So that was odd, and when I saw him he wasn't even looking at the traffic. Perhaps he was putting his gun away? I saw him way before we were even adjacent to each other.

And to those telling me to be a man and pay up, no. How does paying a ticket entail being a man? It is never reasonable to go 70 in a 45 through downtown.

oh no its not though downtown being completely honest its in the middle of no where it just comes from the freeway into town, i normally go about 55 I'm just saying that sometimes traffic moves a lot faster than it should and sometimes in order to reasonably keep up with traffic you need to go faster than the posted limit
