Its not bad at all for the price. But its going to require some work to be a decent driver.

Good: Zero rust anywhere, except surface rust in the battery box, runs and drives, interior is ok except the cracked dash, paint is fairly new, brand new complete exhaust, never modified.

Bad: Unsure of head gasket, previous owner said it was bad, smokes a bit on startup, looks like everything leaks a tiny bit, electrical is sketchy because I didnt look over it very good, suspension squeaks like crazy in all directions, no idea if pump and belts were done recently.

Cool. Theres all kinds of Tulsa people here. Do you guys do any kind of meet-ups?

I have new heater/rad hoses/oil pressure sensor coming in today. Once they come in I will be able to let the engine heat up and start figuring out what it needs.

Mr. Swiss is your local E30 Dr. and can swap that timing belt and water pump for under $300 P & L OEM parts.

Hit me up shops on Pine and Harvard.
I will keep you in mind if I need some help. Im ok with car stuff and really want to learn how to work on this car. Im waiting on new hoses to come in before I can drive it around and troubleshoot.

The only thing that scares me is the electrical system being a bit of a mess.

Great to see some Tulsa people on here. Might have to hang out sometime and talk cars. I dont know any E30 people in the area.

The 1 really looks a lot bigger, but its just bulging curved shape of it. The 3 series body is so square off it looks smaller. My 1 looks like a dwarf when I park next to a camry or a newer 4 door appliance.

I love the 1 though. It just does everything so well, gets good mpg, and its still quiet and comfortable to drive 75 miles a day. I would love to mod it, but its under warranty.
I recently found out changing out the springs wont void the warranty :) It will only be void if something breaks and they see you have changed out the springs. It wont be void if everything is in order and no issues are found.

135i is about the same size actually as the e36.

135i is a good car- except the run flat tires wearing all messed up. Nice looking E30 for cheap!

I've got a 135 too, love it. Its so toss-able and just fun to drive really reminds me of a e30, with the exception of the cost of ownership.

"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes, i.e. its a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process." - my friend, Número Veintiséis

I would love to have a 135. I also drive my boyfriends '06 550i (360hp) and although it's very fast off the line, it's quite the boat. I've always thought that a smaller car like the 1-series or 3-series would be so much more fun with about the same amount of hp.

Thanks for comparing the size of both cars, I have always wondered exactly how close in size they are. I have also tried looking for a picture of both side-by-side showing the size comparison.
