Uhhhh, maybe in the USA, but we have our very own BMW Manufacturing plant right here, where all our e30's were manufactured.

It's a Canadian or US bound car. bumpers aren't euro.

Oil temperature!!!! my god people. none of the German cars came with Fahrenheit clusters.

That cluster has been fucked with. would not buy. I have known of several people to go to Germany and take delivery of their US cars there and then ship them back here.

And depending on what the state laws are for being imported into the US, but I know in CA you are supposed to have the cluster swapped to MPH...theres ways around it, IE doing it and then swapping back after inspection, but I wouldn't say its US or EURO spec based on the cluster.

My car is US spec but when digging through was originally purchased and serviced in Germany then brought over here after a few years. I found a few Germain coins under the carpet even and the original dealer emblem from Germany was on the back when I got it.

the guy never said it was in Germany for a couple of years:

The car was originally purchased and driven in Germany, then brought back to the US
    - The original owner took German delivery on the car. My car too was purchased in Germany, broken in on the Autobahn, got its first oil change at the factory, then driven all over Germany and Italy before being imported to the US. The original owner wanted to make a trip out of it.

So the CL poster didn't imply shit, you are reading into something that doesn't exist.

Seller is not implying it's a Euro spec car. My M3 was purchased in Japan and imported to the US, however it is US spec not J-spec.

Japanese owner was expecting to move to the US, so purchased the car and had it imported to US for his use, and shipped back to Japan upon his return.

It could very well be a Euro-spec car. 1988 and 1989 M3s are on the NHTSA import eligibility list, provided they are modified for DOT/EPA/FMVSS compliance by a Registered Importer (RI)/Independent Commercial Importer (ICI).

It's a US spec car as mentioned prior. US spec cars can be purchased in Europe. You people really aren't intelligent.
