    carbon fiber 'is' lip would be a nightmare. the OE ones are fragile enough as it is, a carbon fiber one would not hold up to any typical abuse.

    Some one should just make regular repro is trunk spoilers. All the used ones i come across are always cracked up. Definitively would interested in a is trunk spoiler. Looking to buy asap, but I'll probably have one by the time you actually make it tho.

    It'll be a while before I have the necessary funds to start this project unfortunately. I'm still a student and don't really have the budget to kickstart this by myself atm

    Well I thought I'd update this thread. I got a quote back and in order to make an mtech spoiler (or is lip or anything of similar size) It would cost about $1000 for the initial mold and materials and then some change to make each unit, so I guess that won't be happening for a while :p

    That's what I'm thinking too. And personally, I don't want an expensive carbon piece 3" from the ground in the front of my car.

    ^^^^and it would match my CF decklid. If you do a CF M Tech, do it E 28is length, they look better wider. My current 535is wing weighs as much or more than the decklid itself.
