I don't know how I get from one thread to another sometimes, and I have over time read some really interesting stuff on this forum. Having read (skimmed more or less) both this thread, and the thread where you and markd were going at it, I think that you learned a lot in regards to having a good attitude in your posts. I agree with you 100% about mark having a very unprofessional attitude in dealing with that situation. Even though he was right to be mad and he was right to post in self defense, but that should not have gone on like it did. And that was due to everyone being childish in that thread, including you.

Now, when I read this thread I was very happy to see that you just let things go. You only posted objective information in regards to your progress, and nothing more. Obviously you learned a thing or two about having a shitty attitude in a situation like this and that is something I can appreciate! I will say though, a year+ wait with shady communication is not something any of us on this forum want to see, especially from a well respected member like yourself. I hope that anyone that is taking "pre-orders" for low profit margin stuff like this takes a well learned lesson from this thread.

On a side note, this is a really great product and I would totally buy one if I wasn't about to sell my e30 :( Good luck with your work, and thanks for the entertainment/ business lessons! LOL

I crimped solely because I just moved and for the life of me can not find my solder station.

Installed it today along with new ODO gears. Works as it should, install is of course super easy. I just tapped into the radio harness for Acc power and ground and ziptied the control module to the yellow connector on the cluster.

It's funny to see my voltage drop when the sub hits ;-)

I just finished midterms last week so I will probably be doing mine this weekend. Did you crimp butt connectors or solder the connections?

no. I designed the gauge from the get to to do it anyways. No need to charge more for a few LEDs.
