Over here in Seattle, cutting it out, fabricating a replacement, welding it in, priming and painting, I'm sure would be close to $1500 at a reputable shop.

It's impossible to tell without first assessing how far the rust has spread. And to find out you need to start removing the paint and chasing the rust.

What will most likely happen is someone will tell you that they'll do it for $500 to lure you in and then once they start doing it, they'll keep finding more rust and the bill will just keep climbing. At that point you'll be too deep into the job and will keep bending over more and more until they suck every penny out of you. That's how it is with rust...

to get a good idea of what you are looking at rust wise, you really need to take the seats out of the car, lift up the carpet and take a good look at the floor pans. i bet you are in for plenty of surprises other than just that one spot.

You may find having Viv ship it is one of the easiest and cheapest solutions...

This is the way to go. It's still gonna cost you to have it welded in, but it's the right way to do the repair.

    this.

depends what level of repair you want done. To do it correctly, I would bet your going to be up in the $600-800 range at least. to just get it looking good, I'm sure if you shop around someone would do it for around $300. Those are the prices over here in Germany, I bet they are pretty similar over there

    How Bad is this Rust?

Didn't think it was too bad...then again, I'm not much of a body guy :(

How much should I expect to spend on fixing this?

    Thanks

Edit: I woulda put this in the Body & Paint subforum but it doesn't seem like many people are in there :(
